We're a full-line specialty distributor of EMS/FIRE equipment, supplies, pharmaceuticals and training/education solutions.
Southeastern Emergency Equipment was founded in 1979 by Donald Pleasants in a farmhouse in Wake Forest, NC. From the first day of business, Donald's mission was to serve the professional people who served their communities, and treat them with trust and respect. And while we we are constantly changing and expanding to serve our customers ever better, our "DNA" will never change. A friendly, knowledgeable EMS professional will be on-hand to assist you when needed.
WE ARE AN INDEPENDENT COMPANY
Southeastern is fully committed to remaining independent and to continuing our long-standing tradition of remarkable customer service. Our business decisions are based on doing what is right by our customers and our employees, not the pockets of shareholders or private equity firms. And while it's tempting to accept the many invitations to be purchased by larger corporations, we've chosen to graciously decline. That's simply not who we are or aspire to be.
WE ARE A FAMILY OF COMPANIES
Our sister company, Southeastern Specialty Vehicles (SSV), offers new and pre-owned ambulances, remounts and specialty vehicles such as QRVs. A second sister company, EMS American LLC, designs portable structures that can serve as temporary housing, food service facilities, mobile mortuary units, etc. These structures can be customized to meet a variety of needs. With the family of companies, Southeastern Emergency Equipment can be your one-stop shop.
WE ARE LED BY AND DEDICATED TO EMS AND FIRE
Many members of our management team—including Carla Baker, NRP, our President—are either current or former EMS and/or Fire professionals. Our jobs at Southeastern are not just about transacting business; it’s a way of life. You will never have to question our dedication and loyalty to the profession we hold so dear in our hearts.
WE ARE EMS AND FIRE
Not only is Southeastern led by EMS and Fire, the majority of our front-line staff are current or former EMS/Fire professionals. As a result, we understand the environment in which you work and can offer sound advice and help guide you to products that meet your needs; we’re not just “order takers.” This is so ingrained in our “DNA” that our company t-shirts proudly display: “Southeastern Emergency Equipment, We ARE EMS/Fire!” We are one of you.
WE STAY ON TRACK
At Southeastern, service means: Trusted, Respected, Accountable, Committed and Knowledgeable. These five words convey a deeply-held conviction by our employees and what they aspire to be every day.
